Wait after the numbness wears off before eating or drinking anything hot.
- Rest: Allow yourself adequate rest for the first 24-48 hours after surgery to facilitate healing.
- Do not smoke for at least 2 weeks after your implant surgery as it will affect the healing
- Do not drink alcoholic drinks while you are taking antibiotics or pain killers
- Do not engage in exercise, vigorous activity or operate machinery
- Do not rinse your mouth vigorously and try to limit your rinsing to twice daily maximum
- Avoid hard foods such as chewing ice, bones, or eating hard and crunchy foods during healing. Your dentist may advise a soft diet for up to 6 weeks.
- Use ice packs to reduce swelling, bruising and pain (Seek further help from your dentist if the pain does not improve or worsens as the days go by.
- Follow up appointments and regular check-ups ensure the success of implant treatment.
- See the dentist at once if your pain or swelling worsens of if you develop a fever.
- Brushing should be done twice daily as per normal for your teeth and gently around the surgical site.
- Use the mouth rinse given as instructed to reduce the bacterial load in the mouth.

1. Regular Check-up and Cleaning: Bacteria builds up on your teeth naturally, which cannot completely be removed by just brushing. This causes tooth decay and gum disease. Remember to go for your 6-monthly check ups and professional cleaning at the dentist to keep your teeth healthy.
2. Following Dentist's Instructions: Follow all the instructions regarding a soft diet, gum and teeth management, and careful use of the implant tooth.
3. Good Oral Hygiene. Maintain good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing your teeth twice a day and following any special instructions your dentist or hygienist has given you to keep your teeth and gums clean and healthy.
4. Please notify us and come in for a check immediately once you encounter any problems after the treatment. Any delay may result in more damage to the condition
