Dr Rares Ispas graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago in New Zealand, where he was awarded a scholarship towards his studies. He also carried out research on teething symptoms which won multiple awards and was published in the New Zealand Dental Journal.
His career began in New Zealand as a Dental House Surgeon, practising alongside Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in a hospital setting to develop excellent oral surgery skills. He still prides himself with surgically removing wisdom teeth in a calm and gentle manner, ensuring his patients’ utmost comfort. Dr Rares then settled into private practice, where his passion for a holistic approach towards dental treatment developed. He has been practising in Singapore since 2014.
Dr Rares performs at the highest standards in all aspects of advanced general dentistry with a strong focus on cosmetic dentistry. He is passionate about digital dentistry and involving his patients in creating cutting edge personalised treatment plans to achieve beautiful smiles. Dr Rares takes a genuine interest in the wellbeing of his patients with a friendly and sincere approach. His patients feel at ease due to his caring and calm demeanour, making the dental visit a more pleasant and comfortable experience.
He is also a strong believer in continuing education and regularly attends courses, seminars and workshops to constantly improve his knowledge and skills. Dr Rares is a member of the Digital Dentistry Society, the Singapore Dental Association and is registered with the Singapore Dental Council and the New Zealand Dental Council.
In his spare time, Dr Rares loves to travel and experience different cultures, having explored more than fifty countries. One of his fondest memories is volunteering with the Himalayan Dental Project and providing much needed dental treatment to school children in the Ladakh Region of Indian Himalayas. At home you’ll find him in the gym, biking park connectors or on a trail exploring the many nature reserves Singapore has to offer. He enjoys all exercise especially if there’s a teh tarik and roti prata reward at the end.
